Step-by-step guide for readers in India

Request your data export Each provider has an export button in settings — ChatGPT under Settings → Data controls, Claude under Privacy, Gemini through Google Takeout. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 the provider has to give you a copy, and they satisfy that with a machine-readable file, usually a ZIP containing JSON.
Wait for the download link Providers email a link, typically within minutes but sometimes up to 24 hours. Save the ZIP somewhere you can find it. Do not unzip it unless you want to — the converter reads either the ZIP or the conversations.json inside it.
Open the converter and drop the file in Go to the converter and drag your export onto the page. Parsing happens in your browser: no upload, no server, no queue. You will see your conversation list, dates and message counts straight away.
