Claude to PDF in Australia

Claude answers tend to be long and heavily formatted, which is exactly what browser printing handles worst. Converting the export file keeps the structure. This page is the en-AU version, with AUD pricing guidance and notes on the Privacy Act.

How it works

In Claude, open Settings → Privacy → Export data. Anthropic emails you a download link.
Unzip the archive and find conversations.json.
Drop it into ChatExports. Nothing is uploaded, the file is parsed in your browser.
Pick Word, PDF or Markdown and download the whole archive or just the chats you filtered to.

What this means in Australia

Pricing: roughly A$15 for a single platform and roughly A$38 for all nine, at current rates. Payment is taken once, in US dollars, so your card issuer applies its own conversion.
No subscription, so nothing renews and there is no local billing entity to cancel with.
Your data-protection rights in Australia come from the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. You can require the provider to hand over a copy of your conversations, and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) is the body that enforces it.
Processing is local: your export file is read inside your browser tab and never crosses a border, which keeps a conversion out of scope for any cross-border transfer question.
Dates in exported documents follow the timestamps in your export file; DD/MM/YYYY is the convention we use in Australian guidance.

Checkout is in US dollars, which works with any Australian card. roughly A$15 for one platform and roughly A$38 for all nine are approximate conversions at recent rates — your bank's rate on the day is what you will actually be charged.

Does this help with the Privacy Act?

It helps with the part that comes after. the Privacy Act gives you the right to a copy of your data, and the provider satisfies that with a machine-readable file. ChatExports turns that file into a readable record. We are a converter, not legal advice, and we are not a party to your request.

Does my conversation data leave Australia?

No. Parsing, conversion and file generation all happen inside your browser on your own device. There is no upload step, so nothing is transferred to a server in another jurisdiction.

Is there a Australian version of the app itself?

The app interface is English only for now. These pages are international English: same product, local currency guidance and local privacy law, no machine translation.
