How to download a ChatGPT conversation on your phone

The pinch to PDF trick, and its limit

On iPhone you can take a screenshot inside the ChatGPT app, tap the preview, and switch to Full Page, which saves the visible thread as a PDF. It works, and it is genuinely useful for a short chat. On a long conversation it captures only what the app has rendered, so older messages are missing and you have no way to tell.

Downloading the whole conversation instead

Copy the conversation text and paste it into the converter in mobile Safari or Chrome. It produces a PDF, Word, Markdown or CSV file saved straight to your phone. Because it is a web page rather than an app, there is nothing to install and no permissions to grant.
